My voice deserves to be heard because....

I'm a storyteller and I've most recently utilized style as a layer and imagery as the core to translate those stories in a way that the actual subject struggles to convey. Everyone has a story; good, bad, ugly or indifferent and I believe that GOD blessed me with the gift to share those stories.

it came to me like an epiphany, turning my passion into a purpose. No longer shouting the phrase empowering women but actually empowering women.

What does finding your voice mean to you?

I found my voice last October at a cute little COFFEE shop during a meeting with my brand strategist. I was at the beginning phases of revamping my entire brand and it came to me like an epiphany, turning my passion into a purpose. No longer shouting the phrase empowering women but actually empowering women.

Jordan Gill of The Kolada Group

Did your upbringing shape who you are today?

Absolutely, I was the oldest of 4 children and had a lot of responsibilities thrown my way at a very young age. This in turn caused resentment towards my parents, I became rebellious and was ridiculed for actions that I myself didn't quite understand. Today, I live with no regrets and although I've been counted out a few times I remained resilient; it's a characteristic that I'm most proud of.

Describe your journey? What was your defining moment?

WOW, so this has been a 4 year journey for me and a great / hate one at that. I've learned a lot, failed a lot, cried a lot, stressed a lot, lost a lot, sacrificed a lot, but never gave up and gained it all back. My defining moment is every one of those tough days that I didn't quit, resilience is in my DNA.

Advice to someone in search of finding their voice in the entrepreneurial, influencer and creative space.

The only advice that I ever offer is to never compare yourself to someone or something. What you're searching for has to be special, not trendy or popular. Popularity is overrated and although there's power in numbers, there's a bigger impact in purpose.

Who is_______?

Kristin McIntyre is a self inspired movement that has taken 35 years to develop. It's a woman who is no longer marching behind someone's else's movement or building someone's brand. She's finally unmasked herself by promoting her own message through her GOD given gifts.

How will you continue to amplify your voice?

Down the pipeline I'd really love to expand my movement by sharing stories through a Podcast. I tend to communicate better through written words, and I think by speaking my thoughts in a very real and raw atmosphere will help myself and others to overcome that fear of always having to speak politically correct. All I've ever wanted is to be able to speak passionately incorrect sometimes without being ridiculed because I'm a fucking lady.
